La Roche-Posay and the American Cancer Society announce a partnership to improve the quality of life of patients and caregivers
NEW YORK, August 11, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Since 1905, La Roche-Posay has been committed to improving the quality of life for people suffering from skin conditions at the Center Thermal de La Roche-Posay in France as well as through oncology initiatives globally. Today, La Roche-Posay US is proud to announce a new partnership with the American Cancer Society (ACS) to strengthen support for cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and the oncology community, as well as to raise awareness of the skin side effects of cancer treatments. .
LA ROCHE-POSAY AND ONCOLOGY
More than 80% of cancer patients develop skin side effects and nearly 50% experience skin reactions caused by radiation*. Post-cancer treatment at the Thermal Center of France to the skin care formulas available here in the United States, La Roche-Posay helps manage some of the skin side effects of radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP
To reach more patients and caregivers during their treatment, La Roche-Posay made a donation to support the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge® Communities, a program that provides patients and their caregivers with free accommodation while undergoing treatment outside of their home. Donation will fund over 3,000 nights of free accommodation for Hope Lodge guests® facilities.
